Press Release

Walnut Creek, California - May 27, 2026

Hyperport announced the release of Hyperport v3.5, an update shaped directly by the requirements of the critical infrastructure operators it serves. The release introduces automated rotation, leasing, and just-in-time access for Windows and Active Directory credentials, extends lifecycle governance to API keys, improves the reliability of remote sessions across distributed environments, and sharpens the visibility teams rely on for investigation and audit.

From smaller deployments to international operators running secure access across multiple sites, regions, and regulatory environments, Hyperport customers share a common set of needs and we built v3.5 to meet them.

Why v3.5

Hyperport's customers have demanding requirements for security, compliance, and operational effectiveness, and those requirements drive much of the product roadmap. Across regions and sectors, these organizations share a common need for stronger control of the credentials and keys that grant access, authentication and sessions that hold up across regions and networks, and visibility that withstands audit. In plain terms, standing passwords and always-on access are a constant liability, the keys that connect automated systems are easy to lose track of, and access activity is often hard to reconstruct after the fact. The capabilities in v3.5 address each of these directly.

"Our roadmap is shaped by what critical infrastructure operators need in production. v3.5 reflects that, tightening control over credentials and keys and making access more reliable across the environments our customers run."
Adrian Withy, CTO, Hyperport

Hyperport v3.5 key capabilities

  • Windows and Active Directory password rotation, leasing, and just-in-time access: Replaces long-lived, standing credentials with credentials that are rotated and granted only when needed.
    • Automated rotation of Active Directory and local Windows account passwords
    • Policy-driven rotation by password age, plus rotation after each privileged session
    • Time-bounded credential leases with access-request and approval workflows for just-in-time access
    • Authorization, audit, and secret-history controls preserved throughout
  • API key lifecycle controls: Brings the same discipline to the keys that automated systems and integrations use, so an exposed key is short-lived and limited rather than a standing risk. Keys can be shown only once when created, set to expire, bound to a specific client certificate, and require fresh verification before they are issued.
  • Remote session performance and stability: Remote access feels faster and more dependable for the people doing the work, with performance and stability improvements across remote desktop, SSH, and isolated browser sessions on varied networks.
  • HyperView investigation improvements: Makes it easier to see who has access to what and what happened during a session, which speeds investigations and produces audit-ready evidence.

Designed for critical infrastructure

Hyperport is purpose-built for utilities, energy, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and other regulated sectors where uptime and compliance are mandatory. The platform secures IT and OT access without requiring agents, architecture changes, or cloud dependency.

It supports regulatory programs including NERC-CIP, CMMC, TSA SD02C, ISA/IEC-62443, NIST, and related frameworks.

"Our customers have been consistent in their feedback on the new capabilities they require. They need tighter control over who and what can reach their systems, without adding friction. v3.5 answers those concerns directly."
Steve Rutherford, VP of Sales, Hyperport
